Tamilnad Mercantile Bank appoints new EVP–IT and VP–IT; BI Head relieved

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB) has made significant changes in its Information Technology (IT) leadership as part of recent senior management appointments.

The bank has appointed N. Sathishkumar as Vice President – Information Technology (VP-IT), effective October 31, 2025.

Sathishkumar began his career as an officer in June 2003 and has 22 years of banking experience in Information Technology and core banking systems. He is a Certified Information System Banker and has completed the Diploma in Information System Audit (DISA). Prior to joining TMB, his last association was with Karur Vysya Bank Limited as Head – IT Applications.

Davis Jose Thettayil to Head IT at TMB

Earlier in October 2025, in a related development, the bank appointed Davis Jose Thettayil as Executive Vice President (Information Technology) (EVP-IT) and Head of Information Technology, with effect from October 15, 2025, for a period of three years. Davis Jose Thettayil has 30 years of banking experience spanning Information and Communication Technology, Digital Banking, Data Science, and Banking Operations. He has experience in the evaluation and procurement of vendor-supplied software solutions, related IT infrastructure, and collaboration across executive and technical teams.

The bank also announced that Natarajan J., Vice President, Business Intelligence Unit (BI Unit), will be relieved from the service of the bank with effect from October 31, 2025.

With these appointments, Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank now has a new Executive Vice President (CIO-level role) and a new Vice President (Information Technology) leading its IT function.
