The Master Data Management (MDM) tool, which houses comprehensive PIN code data, serves as the central nerve centre of Allcargo Logistics’ operational ecosystem.

Allcargo Logistics, following approval of the organisation’s restructuring plan that houses its domestic supply chain business—Express Distribution and Consultative Logistics—has announced an extension of its domestic distribution network with the launch of Allcargo Extended Reach (AER). AER is an upgraded version of the company’s earlier Extra Serviceable Stations (ESS) and marks the strengthening of its nationwide accessibility, deepening Allcargo’s presence across emerging and underserved markets.
With this initiative, the company now covers 100 percent of available PIN codes in India, expanding its network from 21,000 to more than 32,000 mapped PIN codes. This expansion is driven by extensive location mapping that represents geographically remote service clusters within each Government of India (GOI) PIN code.
Additionally, Allcargo Logistics has doubled its direct serviceable PIN codes from 4,900 to over 10,000, all served directly through Allcargo Distribution Centres.
MDM Tool
The Master Data Management (MDM) tool from Tibco having all PIN code data, acts as the nerve centre for the operations of Allcargo Logistics said Sanjay Khiyani, Chief Information Officer, Allcargo Logistics, “Coverage across all PIN codes in India is anchored by an in-house Master Data Management (MDM) platform, built on verified public PIN code data. The platform functions as a central reference point for all core master data, including PIN codes, locations, customers, vendors, and operating clusters.
Every customer and partner record is mapped back to this PIN code master, which helps maintain consistency across systems while supporting business priorities and expansion plans. The data is owned and refined internally by a dedicated team, and it keeps improving as fresh operational insights are added from the field.
By ensuring that all PIN code, location, and cluster updates flow through the MDM platform, Allcargo maintains control over data quality and ensures that coverage can scale smoothly across the country.”
Commenting on the development, Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Allcargo Logistics, said, “AER marks a new chapter in our domestic logistics journey. By expanding our direct serviceable PIN codes and mapping every available PIN code in the country, we are unlocking unprecedented speed, reliability, and market access for our customers. With AI-driven planning, optimized distribution networks, and deeper last-mile reach, Allcargo Logistics is strongly positioned to power the next phase of India’s consumption-led growth.”
AI Enabled Routing
To support this expansion, Allcargo Logistics has undertaken a major operational redesign, implementing AI-led planning tools, intelligent routing systems, and fully digitalised workflows across its network. The company has also expanded and optimised its hubs, line-haul routes, and on-ground operational infrastructure.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the AER enables in finding the best route for delivery and pickups, “AI-supported routing plays an important role in managing cluster-level pickups and improving how the overall network functions. The focus is on choosing more efficient routes, cutting down transit time, and ensuring a consistent experience across locations.
Routing decisions are managed centrally by a dedicated network team and are refined continuously using inputs such as operational feedback, new customer requirements, and geographic expansion. This ensures that performance standards remain consistent across the network, rather than varying by location.
For customers, including MSMEs and businesses operating in remote areas, this results in clearer serviceability, better visibility into shipment movement, and more predictable delivery timelines. System-led routing reduces dependence on manual judgement and brings greater reliability and transparency to daily operations,” said Khiyani.
The expansion aligns with a phase where India’s logistics demand is rapidly moving beyond major metros, with Tier II, III, IV, and remote regions emerging as high-growth consumption hubs. Through AER, Allcargo Logistics now enables seamless access to some of the country’s most difficult-to-reach areas, including Port Blair, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, the Western Ghats, and the remote Northeastern belt. These improvements significantly strengthen last-mile delivery and allow customers across industries to tap into new markets with greater consistency and predictability.
In addition, Allcargo Logistics has recently expanded and recategorised its Transshipment Centres from 21 to 71, further strengthening its nationwide network and enhancing connectivity, efficiency, and customer experience across India.
