Manzar Abbas was appointed as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of ISGEC Heavy Engineering on December 8, 2025 the company announced via a filing to the exchanges. Abbas has joined the company after serving Orient Electric as CIO for more than 3 years.
“We wish to inform you of the appointment of Mr. Manzar Abbas as Chief Information Officer (Senior Management Personnel) of the Company with effect from December 08, 2025,” said ISGEC Heavy Engineering in a note to the bourses.
Abbas brings with him a total of 25 years of experience in IT strategy, Digital Transformation, Industry 4.0, SAP S/4 Hana, Cyber Security etc. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from Bangalore University.
Prior to joining lSGEC Heavy Engineering, he held senior leadership roles at Orient Electric Limited, Rockman Industries Limited, Mother Dairy, and other prominent organisations in India.
Notably the erstwhile CIO at ISGEC Heavy Engineering, Sanjay Kumar Gharde (designated as Senior Management Personnel) had resigned in January, 2025.
