Oracle Launches AI Data Platform to Connect Enterprise Data with Generative AI

Oracle has made generally available the Oracle AI Data Platform, a new offering aimed at empowering organisations to securely link enterprise data, applications, and workflows to generative AI models.

The platform integrates automated data ingestion, semantic enrichment, and vector indexing with integrated generative AI tools to make the path from raw data to production-grade AI applications easier.

As Oracle describes it, the platform enables businesses to render their data "AI-ready" and to run agentic applications that can automate mundane tasks, offer real-time insights, and infuse intelligence directly into day-to-day operations. It utilises Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Autonomous AI Database, and OCI Generative AI service.

The platform is native to open data formats like Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg to enable organisations to create lakehouses without having to duplicate the data. Its catalogue, which is native to it, offers governance and compliance for all data and AI assets while enabling multi-agent systems using open standards like Agent2Agent (A2A) and Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Business consumers are able to engage with Agent Hub, which directs requests to the right AI agents, provides actionable recommendations, and facilitates instant responses.

Oracle will make available industry-specific versions of the platform for Fusion, NetSuite, and key industry verticals such as healthcare, financial services, and construction. These versions come with pre-integrations and access to Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence for real-time AI-ready insights.
