Adani Energy Appoints Dr. Venkata Rama Srinivas Gutta as CDO Amid Organisational Restructuring

Dr. Venkata Rama Srinivas Gutta has been appointed as the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Adani Energy. He will take over from Dr. Arivarasu Selvaraj, who ceased as the CDO due to organisational restructuring, said the company in a filing to the bourses. 

Notably, Adani Energy Solutions has been actively realigning business units and assets in recent quarters as part of its strategic evolution, including the transfer of major assets, such as a power plant to a subsidiary, and the incorporation of new entities to support its transmission and energy solutions expansion.

“The date of appointment of Dr. Venkata Rama Srinivas Gutta is 22nd January, 2026, and the terms of appointment are not applicable. The date of cessation of Dr. Arivarasu Selvaraj is 22nd January, 2026,” said Adani Energy in a regulatory filing.

Dr. Srinivas Gutta is an eminent digital innovation leader with nearly three decades of global experience across strategy, venture creation, and digital proposition development. Dr. Gutta’s impactful tenure at Philips included pioneering breakthroughs in video surveillance, biometrics, and ambient lighting—most notably the award-winning AmbiLight TV—and leading strategic transformation initiatives for over 60,000 employees. Renowned for his passion and customer-centric leadership, Dr. Gutta excels in building high-performing teams, leveraging emerging technologies, and delivering innovative solutions that exceed expectations. 

Academically, he holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from George Mason University, USA, with specialisation in Machine Learning and Computer Vision, and a B.E. from NIE Mysore. 

His prolific output includes over 50 publications, more than 150 US patents, and numerous prestigious awards, reflecting his unwavering commitment to digital transformation and innovation excellence.
