Greenpanel CIO Moves On, Joins Same Sector in Iran

Greenpanel Industries CIO, Jayanta Bhowmik in an exclusive conversation with FE CIO revealed he has quit the company and joined a big group in the same industry in the Middle East. “Based in Iran, I will report to the CEO, who is also the owner of the company,” he says. The company will soon embark on a major digital transformation program, says Bhowmik and thus he took the opportunity to lead the company in anchoring the roadmap towards digitalisation.   

Bhowmik earlier served as Senior VP and CIO at Greenpanel and reported to the Managing Director & CEO.  He was responsible for managing the Group Enterprise IT, SAP, Digital & Automation, according to his Linkedin profile. He joined Greenpanel Industries in December 2022. 

One of the highlights of Bhowmik’s career was  spearheading one of the biggest SAP S/4 Hana implementations in India at the Usha Martin group.. He worked at the group from 2016 to 2020.
